About JAWM
Junior Achievement of Western Massachusetts is dedicated to providing economic education and financial literacy programs to the youth of western Massachusetts and Vermont.
During the 2005-06 school year JA programs were offered in 90 schools in 30 school districts, impacting more than 9,200 students.
Junior Achievement programs are offered at no cost to the schools and community groups throughout Western Massachusetts. All of the Junior Achievement Programs correlate to the MCAS standards and the Massachusetts Frameworks set by the DOE. Our age-appropriate, academically challenging programs are offered to local schools and community groups free of charge because of the financial support we receive from hundreds of local businesses, individuals, and foundations, in addition to our Special Events, which include The Stock Market Challenge, our Annual Bowl-A-Thon and the Baystate Invitational Golf Tournament.
