Welcome Back, JA Alum!
Welcome back to Junior Achievement! Whether you participated in the JA Company Program® as a high school student, or have been volunteering to teach JA programs in your community, we want to celebrate all you have done to make Junior Achievement the world’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices.
When asked if being a JA student positively affected their future, 92 percent of JA alumni responded with a resounding, “yes!” Across the board, JA graduates reported more confidence in succeeding with work-readiness objectives, such as personal money management, “acing” a job interview and demonstrating a competitive edge on the job. Being a JA student has a positive and lasting impact on young people’s economic and entrepreneurship skills, career choices and success.
As Junior Achievement alumni, you are part of an international network of more than 80 million students who have been involved with Junior Achievement since 1919. No one needs to tell you that JA programs are beneficial because you know first-hand. You put the principles you learned through JA into practice every day. And now you’d like to reconnect so you can help the next generation of JA students get the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices.
Junior Achievement of Western Massachusetts welcomes your involvement and continued support. The need for volunteers who are willing to share their time and experience to the next generation of leaders is greater today than it ever was before. As a volunteer, you will deliver relevant, hands-on experiences that give students from kindergarten through high school knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. And just like you, today’s JA students will learn to make a connection between what they learn in school and how it can be applied in the real world.
