Premise of the Stock Market Challenge
- Teams begin the game with $500,000 trading dollars which the can invest in fictitious stock.
- Once the bell is rung, every 80 seconds is a new trading day, in this volatile market! Teams can track their stocks performance and their overall team standing by the information projected onto three massive screens at the front of the room.
- Teams can buy or sell stock by attracting the attention of a floor trader, just as they do on the stock trading floor. Every floor trader is equipped with a hand held computer which sends orders instantly into the system, via wireless transmission.
- The team with the largest portfolio after 60 days of trading WINS !
Who can participate?
- Each Team consists of 4 players
- There will be a student event open to local Middle & High Schools
