Stock Investing Competition 2011
This fall JA will host the largest Stock Investing Competition in the country!
October 27, 2011
Do your future employees have what it takes? Junior Achievement of Western Massachusetts, Inc. (JA) engages high school and college students by putting their knowledge to the test in the largest Student Stock Market Challenge in North America.
On Thursday, October 27th JA will transform the gym at the Scibelli Building at Springfield Technical Community College into Wall Street! This is an event you will not want to miss!
The Stock Investing Competition is an exciting simulation in which, teams of 4 people will receive $1,000,000 fictitious dollars to invest in 50 different stocks. The teams compete to see who can amass the largest net-worth portfolio, in this fast-paced, thought-provoking and teamwork-building challenge! Every 60 seconds is a new trading day. Check out this video from last year's event!
JA will hold three separate events:
- High School event from 9:00 to 11:00am
- College event from 2:30 to 5:00pm
- Corporate event for our sponsors of high school and college teams from 6:30 to 8:30pm
Volunteers are needed to present pre-event prep lessons to local high school and college teams as well as help out on the day of the event.
