Berkshire Bank Foundation
The Berkshire Bank Foundation, funded with a donation from Berkshire Bank, is a leader in philanthropy and community involvement. The Foundation’s mission is to enhance the quality of life in Berkshire Bank's service areas and gives priority to funding education and community development projects. It also funds programs dedicated to the arts, education and human services. Since it was formed in 2000, it has awarded more than $14 million to non-profit organizations in its service area.
In addition to grant awards, the Foundation also oversees the Bank’s Employee Volunteer Program which carries out group community service projects benefiting schools, non-profit organizations and communities where the Bank does business. Annually, more than 50% of the Bank’s 650 employees donate over 12,000 volunteer hours to invest in communities where the bank has a presence.
